Brilliant Butterflies!
Did you know, there’s a butterfly called the Painted Lady that migrates all the way from the Sahara Desert to the Arctic Circle and back! It takes about seven generations of butterflies to complete this incredible journey.
These butterflies migrate - which means they move from one place to another for resources like food. Amazingly, each generation knows where to go, continuing the journey their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents have started!
What I love and think is truly magical about butterflies is their transformation. They start as tiny caterpillars, then form their chrysalises, and finally, they emerge as beautiful butterflies. But did you know that if you try to help a butterfly by cutting open its chrysalis, it won’t be able to fly? The struggle to push out of the chrysalis is essential—it pumps blood into their wings, making them strong enough to soar.
Isn’t that a wonderful lesson for us too? Challenges make us stronger, and like the butterfly, we can transform and grow in ways we never imagined. So, remember to never lose hope and always persevere! ❤️

A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies
Yes, that’s the name of a group of butterflies! Can you imagine why?
They’re so colourful they look like a kaleidoscope when flying together! 🌈🦋

Apple Compote Recipe
Looking for a warm and comforting treat? Apple compote it is!
I usually don’t follow a recipe for things like this, I just chop up some apples and cook them in some butter, a dash of vanilla, enough water to prevent them sticking through the cooking process, and as much cinnamon and maple syrup as my heart desires.
Sometimes its useful to have a recipe though, this one is delicious but works just as well if you skip all the spices except the cinnamon. Enjoy it as a topping on your porridge oats, or as a desert with puff pastry and whipped cream 😋
